Ready for responsive? It’s not just about layout design: a responsive redesign will raise challenges with your content strategy, layout organization, cms and technology solution.
This workshop introduces attendees to the mindset and techniques necessary for embracing the fluid nature of the web. This half-day session will review the basic principles of responsive web design, including addressing topics such as user experience and best practices, grid design and rapid prototyping techniques.
How will this workshop help you?
This workshop will give you the skills and knowledge you need to be able to build Responsive Websites using design thinking methodology. With a various range of hands-on exercises, the workshop will:
- Introduce Responsive Web Design
- Introduce the “Mobile first” strategy
- Information architecture & content strategy
- Explore Responsive Web Design framework & workflow
- Sketch and low fidelity prototype
- Challenges & opportunities of responsive design
Who should attend?
Have you heard about Responsive web design and want to learn more? Are you about to build a new responsive website and are unsure how to proceed? Are you interested in learning about the future of web design? If you answered yes to one or more of those questions then you need to attend this workshop.
What hardware/software do you need?
No technology required though a laptop might be helpful at times (optional software like Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Axure or web-based sketch tools). This is a workshop for people of all skill levels. Pencils, markers and paper will be supplied.

Antonio De Pasquale is a Senior Interaction Designer and information architect in Frog specializing in digital user experience. He believes that designing the interaction is the most important part in communication and is fascinated by how you can communicate through movement and gestures. He has worked on numerous digital projects ranging from the field of web-tv, e-commerce, healthcare, online newspapers, corporate website to mobile and tablet applications and he participated in teaching activities at SUPSI and Politecnico di Milano.
